The Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge #17

Father's Day

What:

Day seventeen of the second Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge. It’s Father’s Day on Sunday and so it’s time to make a card for my other half’s dad.

How:

Putting together the elements for this card was simple: I printed out the digital stamp and coloured it with Copics, die cut the “happy”, stamped the sentiment, and trimmed a couple of patterned papers.

The hardest part was coming up with a layout I was happy with. I spent quite some time arranging and rearranging the elements until I found one I liked. All of the pieces were glued flat to the cardbase except the “Father’s Day” banner which was mounted with foam tape.

Lessons Learned:

Eventually I will remember to do this: always check the Copic marker before taking it to the paper. Every now and again one will be extra juicy and will drip just where you really don’t want it to.
