What:
Day seven of the second Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge. My first Christmas cards of the year.
How:
When I’ve used digital stamps before I’ve always printed them on Neenah solar white cardstock and coloured with Copics, but I wanted to use the Zig real brush pens for these Christmas images and that means using watercolour paper. Luckily our printer does a decent job of printing on it.
I coloured the images, trimmed them to size and rounded the corners. Then I masked off the centre of each image panel and coloured the edges silver (technically platinum) with Inka Gold. Once the sentiment banners were stamped and die cut, all that was left to do was to assemble the cards by gluing the image panel to the card base and mounting the banner using foam pads.
Lessons Learned:
Our printer will happily print on lightweight watercolour paper.
